Another Lovely Evening Concert+Lecture

Last night, I attended a second concert/lecture event hosted by my wonderful piano teacher. This time, it was a university professor/teacher/performer/friend of my teacher. He gave a focused lecture and mini recital, focusing solely on Robert Schumann, and his music, specifically the Symphonic Etudes.

It really gave me another view on Schumann's more personal style and character a lot more. The performance he gave us was spectacular as well, very beautiful. As a lecturer and pianist, I really liked him. I was able to hear Schumann's character much more clearly as compared to all the recordings of his music that I've listened to. I think it was a very good rendering of Schumann's music. Happy Schumann Year, everyone!
